Happy with the purchase. I received this hoover this morning and in my excitement (yes I realise how sad I am being excited about a new hoover) I just had to use it immediately and try it out! We are a 4 person family and have 3 dogs (one of which is a Fawn Pug who sheds a ridiculous amount of hair) and a horse so dog hair, straw, hay etc is a frequent occurrence in our household. I wanted a hoover that was well priced and did the job and this is exactly that. I turned it on and switched on the setting for carpet and oh my goodness it was strong suction. My carpets were gleaming and I couldn't believe how much it brought up from just one room, dirt that I couldn't even see on the floor! The only slight con for some people (and if I'm honest, it wasn't even a con for me at all) was that the suction is so strong that you need a bit of strength to pull and push it when it's on but that was a plus side for me as my arms get a workout too!

Overall, extremely happy with my new hoover, love the design, love the colour and love how good it is. My carpets look fantastic and my bathroom/kitchen floors look pretty awesome too! My living room carpet looks great. My kitchen floor would if i didn't need to wash it but that needs mopping. I'm seriously impressed with this and it goes to prove that even though the EU reduced the power of hoovers last year, VAX have redesigned there hoovers to increase the suction power, despite less power to the motor. If you're thinking of getting a new hoover, this one is a pet version so it will get all of those pesky summer coat fur droppings that are about to be replaced with your pet's winter coat.

It really is far better than the one it's replacing but the suction on your carpet is so strong that it will give you a good workout as well as removing more dirt from your carpets than you realised was in them. You might have already realised this but even after one use, i would highly recommend this hoover for it's excellent cleaning power and it's awesome value for money. Having had a Dyson for the past couple of years, this vacuum has shown just how bad the Dyson was! The pile on our carpet is actually starting to stand up again and the amount of dust/dirt it picks up is amazing. Yes, the cord could be longer, but an extension lead sorted that problem out.
