It is a fairly standard flying X but it is black and has very cool-looking flying saucer landing gear. It boasts stupendous flight times of 30 minutes at up to 1000 meters of range. The lack of gimbal offers the usual wobble and shake in video footage though the camera shoots with good color saturation and clarity. The controller is a tough-looking hobby-grade black remote with an LCD for systems status that requires 6 AA batteries. The X380 has automatic take-off and landing. Auto take-off will elevate the quad to about 6 feet, where it will hover. Auto land will land the quad wherever it is applied. A strong GPS lock holds the X380 remarkably stable when hovering. Return-to-home elevates the quad to about 50 feet then flies it back in reverse. The elevation might need to be raised in rugged terrain to avoid the quad from returning to tree or rock. First test flight today, it flies very stable, everything worked as advertised. Instructions are in broken English, so make sure you understand them thoroughly before flying.

I have never flown any kind of quadcopter before but with the auto take off and auto landing features I had no problem. The GPS works great for auto return and auto landing. Nice faux carbon fiber shell. Battery fits snug into the bay. Seems very solid, only assembly was the props. The landing gear is pre-installed. Its easy to fly long flight times 20 to 30 min and very good range beyond the line of sight return to home has saved me more than once. Flight times have been just about 30 minutes with no camera gear attached. I will buy 7000mah battery later when I attach a camera. Quad looks great but when i tried turn one of the motors it blocked. It appears that the c clip under the motor came off. All the functions work well, GPS positioning is what I concern, it's OK. Great looking carbon fiber look. Easy to operate and fly, range and flying time are outstanding. Very stable even in a strong wind. Haven't flied such a professional quad before, I'm getting used to.
