JetForce Deluxe Bagless Vacuum Cleaner from Daily Deals is a fine piece of machineary that is good value for money, and its powerful suction power and included turbo head should have no problem keeping your house clean. However, personally I find the made quality similar to other sub-$200 or even sub-$100 vacuum cleaners — cheap. Maybe it is a bad analogy, but I think the JetForce is like a dressed up Hyundai that looks so much better on paper than a barebone Merc at similar price. But hey, it is still a Hyundai. Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post by Daily Deals, who provided the vacuum cleaner to me. While I am compensated to provide opinion on this website, the compensation received does not influence the content. Back in March I blogged about Daily Deals’ free shipping promotion, but was a bit disappointed that the JetForce vacuum cleaner that I wished to buy wasn’t included in the promotion.
So at the end of the day I simply gave up, and went back to vacuum cleaner hunting again. The vacuum cleaner that I had been using was a Sanyo 1500W that uses a paper bag, which I bought back in 1999. It does not have all those new gimmicks like HEPA filter, but it was working “alright”, survived two house moves, and still managed to suck dirts. Parts started to fall off, but the real killer was — it ran out the bags. That is the problem with those vacuum cleaners with refillable bags. Yes, they are convenient, but you better hope that the supply of bags in your local supermarket out lives your vacuum cleaner. Which in my case, it didn’t. So we have been researching on the vacuum cleaner to buy, burrowed our friend’s choice magazine, went down to the local Godfreys, etc. Our badget was around $150, and we could not settle on the model to buy. Time was ticking and our very last bag was almost going to go burst! Then Daily Deals contacted me through this website, thanking me for all the past exposure on Daily Deals and Catch of the Day, and was sending me a JetForce vacuum cleaner that I originally intended to buy!
One week later the vacuum cleaner arrived my filthy home… And when I opened it up, it is a JetForce Deluxe 2400W! More than I was asking for! I have been using it for the last 4 weeks, and here is my short review on this vacuum cleaner. After all, wattage matters. Yes we all know that it is also important to be efficient, but you do get that “super-hero feeling” when you turn the knob all the way to 11 to extract out the whole 2400W suction power. With all its power and a bagless design, the JetForce is actually smaller than my old Sanyo. The benefit of being small and light? It is surprisingly easy to carry around and maneuver around. Very useful when you have quite a bit of floor space to cover. It has many filters. It has a layer of filter outside HEPA, then HEPA filter itself, then filter on front of the motor, and then one behind the exhaust. After all, a powerful motor means nothing if you can’t filter out the dust, and JetForce’s system is pretty good at making sure dusts stay in the tray.
You can also place some air refresher inside the exhaust filter. It has good sets of tools. It has a turbo head, but unfortunately we have floor board and tiles in the house, but a single piece of carpet, so its usefulness is a bit limited. However my favourite is the brush, which is very soft, making it a very good tool cleaning the hard-to-reach corners.Of course, the trouble of bagless is that you need to empty the container, which can be messy sometimes. hoover s2220 vacuum carpet cleanerAnd with a powerful motor, it does fill up quite quickly (or maybe my house is just a bit more dusty). rydis mr6550 robot vacuum cleanerIt is actually quite easy to empty the container. euroclean wet and dry vacuum cleaner demo video
Press a button to release the latch, and off it goes into the bin. When something is cheaply made, you can feel it! The plastic, the tools, the overall made all spell out “cheap”! While the “cheapness” has no side effect on this vacuum cleaner’s primary task, it does make you wonder how many years will it last.I need to empty it every 2 weeks, although I only vacuum the whole house once a week! Probably because of its small/light weight design, the dust container is also relative small and has very limited capacity. Hose way too flexible. Wait, why is being “flexible” a bad thing? It is made of thin plastic, and it is so easy to twist when you move around, which means no air can flow through. I am also worried about its durability as it is so flexible it does not look like it will last a few years. I initially wanted to buy this vacuum cleaner because it looks good on paper (and I must got sucked in by the TV ads on the Daily Deals’ website). Now I have actually lived with a JetForce bagless vacuum cleaner for a month, I guess the question would be — would I still buy one?
First of all, I would say the 2400W version is probably not worth it. You can get the 2000W model for $50 less, and it will do almost everything the 2400W can do. You might as well save the money to buy a few more HEPA filters, as they are consumables (although it is “possible” to clean them up, just a bit messy). Now, at less than $150 delivered, it is a good vacuum cleaner that does everything I need. Price is good, although I suspect you might also be able to pick up something descent at this price from Godfreys during their promotions. It is powerful even at 2000W, has a good filter system, and the tools are easy and convenient to use. However I think the overall build quality might be a bit let-down (which might resemble every other vacuum cleaners at this price point).
