Watch eSpares demonstrate how easy it is on a HVR200M 22 - the process will be very similar for all Henry or Hetty Numatic cleaners. Hi I'm Liam from eSpares. I'm going to show you how to replace a rocker switch on a Numatic Henry vacuum cleaner. Now the model we will be working on is the Henry Micro the HVR two hundred M model, but the process should be very similar for all types of Numatic vacuum cleaners that come with a rocker switch like this one. Now on our machine here we're going to be replacing the green high/low switch, this one here, but the process will be identical if you want to replace the red switch, the on/off button. Now remember safety first, before you start always make sure you unplug your appliance from the mains before you carry out any repair work, and then we can get started.

So the first thing to do is to remove the head from the base, so we'll just unclip and take Henrys head off and I'll just clear some space. Then what we need to do is to separate the head into two parts so that we can access the switch. So we just need to turn it over I'm going to unscrew these four outer screws. Remember don't actually unscrew these three because they hold the motor in place and they will detach it from the head. So what we need to do is take a Phillips head screwdriver and off we go. Okay, so that's the last screw undone and now we can simply detach and separate Henry's head into two parts and access the switch. So then I need to remove the switch cover while pulling that plastic clip, and then off comes the case. Okay so next we need to remove the old switch and to do that the easiest thing to do is to pinch it, it can be a bit fiddly and what you might need to do is get a screw driver and just give yourself a bit of additional leverage to help pop out the old switch.
