It fits the hose and accessories for my ancient S512 Miele cylinder vacuum.One of the great advantages they have over the competition is that genuine Miele parts do not build up a static charge, and so do not collect curtains of dust on their exterior surfaces. This elbow has a metal strip embedded in it to carry the earthing from the spring in the flexi-hose through to the telescopic tube.I managed to snap the original elbow/handle at the vent hole after about fifteen years of intensive use (I guess the plastic had become brittle with age) and for a couple of months it was held together with gaffer tape.
