Very Good Vacuum but I Really Dislike the "Drive Steering" -3.5 starsWhat's this?This is a very good vacuum cleaner with a few drawbacks. Using this system does take some getting used to compared to the traditional straight-on vacuum cleaners. It makes the vacuum a bit "squirrely". I'm not convinced it makes vacuuming easier because it takes more hand/wrist strength to control it especially on hard floors.-The handle can be used lower or higher. This is handy in my household because my husband is much taller than me & prefers the handle extended. The lowered handle also makes storing the vacuum easier because it doesn't need such a tall space.-40 foot electric cord - plenty of cord for my house.This is a problem with my current LG also (LuV200R). They have not changed the design. The plastic is cheap & it can easily scratch your furniture. The knob that holds the dusting/bristle part in place, wears out really fast. I had to duct tape my old one so that the bristles are permanently out.-No auto cord winder on this version; that is one of my favorite perks with the 200R model.-No height adjustment for different carpet piles.

I guess it automatically adjusts. This is good & bad. Good because you don't need to change it. It's not so great when I'm vacuuming a hard floor & I want to quickly go over a scatter rug or vacuum up some of my ficus tree leaves. The wheels get hung up on the rug & you have to actually lift the vacuum on to the rug. It just pushes the leaves around without sucking them up so I have to get out the wand. It is an easy task with the 200R model.-The on/off switch is on the body on this model. I prefer it on the handle for convenience.-The hard floor/carpet switch is on the body on this model. I prefer it on the handle for convenience.-No on-board storage for the turbine tool or the upholstery tool. The crevice tool/dusting brush does store on the vacuum. On the 200R, the turbine tool fits ingeniously in the top of the vacuum; you don't even know it's there until you need it.This is a very good vacuum for sucking up dirt & dust. If you feel the drive system & the wand extension are worth the extra money, you will probably be satisfied.
