But do not buy this product. It only picks up dust and nothing else. This robotic vacuum is pretty quite. I have a cattle dog that I have to put away because she will continuously attack the head of our regular Miele canister vacuum. I bought this 3 days ago after also just purchasing a Roomba about 2 weeks before. I went into the dealer (I own a Miele vacuum,) the salesman gave me the pitch on how this was so... I was skeptical about a robot cleaner, but am pleasantly surprised with the Miele RX1. It do an exceptional job on my tile floor and transitions over to my hardwood nicely. Probably a waste of money. It doesn't do well unless the room is a rectangle. The odd shapes of kitchen and family room confuse it and it has to be watched while it's working. First time robot vacuum cleaner owner. We live in a 2400 sq ft house with lots of furniture and stands and chairs. We had high hopes for this guy after returning our Roomba 770. It is much more quiet than the Roomba.
