I've had 3 of these vacuums in the past 25 years ~ they work great, are easy to pull around, and hold up with lots of wear & tear! My last one lasted me 12 yrs... Great suction, easy to change from floor brush to motorized carpet attachment, cord easy to rewind, bags are available cheap here on eBay, and built with Kenmore reliability.Since then, we have bought several more, same model, 21614, for our 2 daughters, and 1 for our grand daughter. They all love them. We do not beat our stuff, although some of them get a ton of use, they don't get abused. The wheels look somewhat fragile, but we have not had a problem.

We don't have pets, but the HEPA bags are a good feature.This vac gets our highest recommendation.
