Not too shabby for $150 bucks. You can tell it's the "budget model" by the shorter length of the hose, the on/off has to be done with your foot because it's on the canister and I don't feel this unit would take a lot of throwing around before stuff would break. Other than that, if you can be nice to it and change the bag regularly, it seems like it's going to last a while.

Note: do not, on any of these sweepers, detach the powerhead or wand from the electrical connection while the unit is running. We've done that for years and wondered why the powerhead begins to act like it's shorting out after a few years. I finally had my electrician look at it and he said when they are separated while the unit is running, there is arcing between the connections and that causes irreparable damage. Turn the unit off, then detach whichever end you want and then restart the sweeper. A pain but your sweeper will last longer so it will be worth it. besides good suction there is nothing else worth to mention - its is poorly designed - wand falls apart when using it ,cable will sometimes jump out of the outlet if you use minimal strain on it cause than starts rolling back inside,to switch to a different attachment you have to unplug and remove cable on the wand ,save yourself and buy next model up It does the job I had been in the market for a vacuum for several months & would do the buy & return thing when I wasn't satisfied with my purchase..

At Christmas I was able to purchase a bagless at a black Friday sale & while the price was great it was too heavy for me (I'm 75) & I definitely didn't like cleaning the bagless; I had always had a Kenmore canister vac so decided to try again because I always found them to be excellent I just didn't want to drag the canister around again.. Since this one was on sale I decided to purchase it since I felt it was worth the try.. However, I am disappointed in the suction power not at all what I remembered Kenmore's to have & not what I expected from a Kenmore.. I have checked all the attachments, wands etc for power suction & they are all good.. I checked the suction control on the handle & that was in the right position, but where I am confused is the suction or lack thereof that's in the PowerMate attachment it appears to be blowing outward instead of sucking in the dirt etc.. I bought the previous version of this vacuum almost 10 years ago which finally fell apart. I liked it so much that I bought another to replace the old one. They did change a number of things on this new model. My only dislike is that you can not disconnect the pole from the carpet/floor part of the vacuum (or at least not without a little of disassembling). Otherwise this is a great vacuum and I would buy again. I purchased three vacuums previous to this one, all broke down quickly, love this vacuum, does just what I need it do! Great Vacuum great price Some won't like that green one just because the color but it's powerful like most canister Kenmore vacuum so green is my favorite color so I love it PERFECT IN EVERY WAY. Cute and colorful,works well, easy to use. My only issue is that when detaching the hose to use the tools, it would be nice if it were and easier transition. I received my order unbelievably fast! Love my vac for my hardwood floors especially.

Plus it's my favorite color! The color doesn't matter It is neon green but quite. Very light especially to up the stairs and suction is good.Had this one years ago. Tired of cleaning nasty vacuums on the bagless ones. Wish the on/off button was in the front instead of the back of the canister. Easy to maneuver and nice attachments So far this Kenmore canister Vacuum has been perfect for vacuuming up even a bunch of dog hair. It maneuvers nicely and the attachments are great to get down into crevices and get the pesky dog hair sucked up. Good, fairly basic vacuum Kind of surprised the switch on the handle only turns off the power head light and not the vacuum, like my old vacuum, but I probably didn't read the description well. Not worth returning as it does what I need. Great vacuum for the price The Kenmore 29229 is a powerful, functional, quality vacuum for a great price.It is lightweight and easy to carry. It has terrific suction for such a small vacuum.

It picks up the smallest of things. The attachments are very easy to use. I am older and got this because I thought it was light weight! The body of the vacuum is but not the rug attachment ! Really too heavy for me. I was cleaning two houses a day. After my upright vacuum blew up, I bought this vacuum. It is much easier in my neck as the vacuum head is not heavy to guide back and forth. The canister is light to drag around as well. Changing out the dirt bag, once every 4 months, is much better than emptying an upright container each use with all the dust flying around. This is simple to bring up and down the stairs also. The attachments are great for reaching high places or running along the baseboards. moves freely, I only have hardwood or laminate flooring. We don't think you'll find a better vacuum for the money than a Kenmore (we have another that's still going strong after 10 years), but what really made this a GREAT buy was the service. , instantly available at the store we chose, walk in and scan the confirmation email, and in less than 3 minutes a SEARS rep brings the vacuum out and carries it to our car -- which is right outside because they have reserved parking right at the Merchandise PickUp entrance!
