kenmore canister vacuum cleaner 28014

This review was published on July 24, 2013. As the flagship of Kenmore's canister vacuum lineup, the Intuition 28014 (MSRP $599) doesn't get any breaks. It's not visually distinctive from its lower-priced counterparts, and the differences are limited to a trick floor brush and electronic controls. Those are nice touches, but they don't help improve the vacuum's core performance. And where the Intuition's sale price is around $499, the similar Kenmore 21514 is an excellent vacuum with an MSRP of $299 that can sometimes be found on sale for $229. The Intuition's design is similar to all other Panasonic-built Kenmore canisters, with a few upgrades. Instead of a separate storage area for a bare floor brush, it slides right into the top of the powered cleaner head. Unfortunately, removing it proved a bit tricky on our tested, as the foot pedal often got stuck. Up on the handle, electronic controls turn the powered brushroll on and off and toggle among power settings. The power cord offers 26.5 feet of freedom from an outlet, and the hose gives another eight feet from the canister.
The extendable wand stretches for an additional 4.3 feet of reach. And while the vacuum weighs a whopping 26.1 lbs., its canister design means you'll only pbe pushing the wand and brush, and you can split that weight when you're carrying it. Good, but not fabulous First, debris: It got up about half of the standard mixture of weights, rice, and macaroni we put down on carpet, but failed at picking up smaller objects off hardwood floors. Instead, the bare floor brush just pushed them along the floor surface. It did a better job getting dirt off a hardwood floor, picking up 96 percent of what we put down. That's what we like to see. Pet hair cleaning was superb, and the small, powered Pet PowerMate brush made it easy to get a lot of dog and cat fur off of surfaces. On high pile carpet, the Intuition got up about half of the mixed dirt we put down. Other vacuums have done better, but that's not bad. Even with the brush on its lowest height setting, the Intuition struggled a bit on low-pile carpet, picking up only around 85 percent of dirt.
Many vacuums get closer to 95 percent. It also proved to be loud and hungry, drawing 1396 watts and putting out around 78 dBa. Be careful if you're plugging into a circuit with other appliances, as you could blow a fuse. And don't do any vacuuming while pets or kids are sleeping.volta mighty mite vacuum cleaner bags Stay in the same aisle, but check out the rest of the lineuppullman as5 vacuum cleaner The Kenmore Intuition 28014 proved to be a strong performer with some interesting features. fakir vacuum cleaner nzIts $599 MSRP, however, was nearly twice the cost of the Kenmore 21514—a more modest canister with similar performance. Unless you're smitten with the 28014's trick floor brush, extra lighting, and digital controls, the less expensive Kenmore is a better bet.

At the time I was looking at Mieles, but I thought this one had great features, a big motor, and... This is the latest of several Kenmore canister vacs we've had over the years. Most vacuums seem so cheaply made these days, including Kenmore but they seem the best of the bunch.
powerful suction but gives off a strong plastic smell when in use, even after two years! I did thorough research prior to buying this vacuum and have had other Kenmores in the past that I have been very satisfied with. I initially loved this vacuum. Easy to go from carpeting to bare floors and great suction. However, I've had it less than two years and the electric in the telescoping wand broke. I've had my Intuition for about 3 1/2 to 4 years. I reeally love this vacuum and I've had many kinds over the years trying to find the "perfect" one! I just purchased this vacuum after deciding my upright was no longer doing the job and also wanting a machine with attachments at my fingertips instead of a separate machine to do...Works great and powerful. The bells and whistles make this vacuum a dream. My only wish is for it to weigh only 5 lbs. Ha! So I've had this vacuum for 1 year and the honeymoon is definitely over! It was still under warranty (had 2 warranties, actually) when it started losing suction and the lid...

In the past 5 years, I've been buying this size vacuum bags from other companies with cheaper prices, but there were always issues.
The biggest of those was poor fit. They would slip away from the hole, making it necessary that I tape the bag in place, and they would rip a bit on the sides when being installed because they were manufactured with too much glue or not enough space to slide in easy. None of those problems here! These bags fit perfectly, did not slide, and smelled great (a nice bonus). This is my new brand! I guess it's one of those times when you get what you pay for. Sears was completely sold out of the bags for this vacuum and could't say when they'd have more in stock. They perform just like the Kenmore brand & leave a wonderful smell through the house while cleaning up the dirt. I will always buy these bags now instead of the Kenmore brand. Yes (8) No (1)  Report Yes (8) No (1) Verified purchaser Verified purchaser I became tired and frustrated while attempting to purchase vacuum bags for the wife's Sears Vacuum cleaner. It seems they are always out of stock. I checked with Walmart and guess what, in stock at two local stores. I ordered two packs for store pickup. Then I went to the wrong store for pickup, however, that store had them in stock also.
