Though it works well on bare floors, we bought a $15 hard floor attachment that makes sweeping a breeze! This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. It does an amazing job picking up pet hair from both carpets and wood floors. This does a good job for a few months, but the entire unit is made of extremely brittle and cheap plastic. the wheel design on this vac is the worse ever. it does not maneuver well so it is running into walls and furniture constantly and getting hung up. Vacuum works well, a little cumbersome to clean.
