It will pick up small dirt by rolling brushes but suction is very poor .It didn't expect much from this robot but it really does a good job. It picks up a lot of the dog hair and fluff as well as the big bits of debris.Cannot manage to negotiate a room with obstacles Can't cope with fringes on rugs but otherwise does a good job of removing cat fur and dust from the floors. My device was defective and the seller is less than helpful I had it for a few months now and it is an excellent product. I haven't hoovered since. It does the job itself and well especially I have carpets everywhere. Not a great hoover, waste of money.
