The problem is, the wiring between wand and hose assy melted and burned her thumb. Love the vacuum, but it is easily broken and you need to be very gentle with it. Otherwise it is a nice vacuum. Bought this at Walmart in 2011. So far (four years) it's worked fine with no failures of any parts.It's best suited for someone needing to clean mainly open floor space... Not as good as the last Hoover Windtunnel MultiCyclonic Bagless Canister Vacuum I had. I few things don't work just 100%. But still a good vacuum. Power head and wand smoked and melted after a year of use! Hoover require me to take to head to one of their service centers, none of which is anywhere near my home.
