Finally gave out after some hair worked its way into the roller drive mechanism. Could not be repaired. Not what I expected. Hard for me to use. Too heavy, hard for me to empty. Suction not as good as they advertise. I've owned a Dyson DC26 City vac for several years now. Subjectively, it's not powerful enough, the line cord is too short and the mechanism which retracts the line cord is way too... I cannot complain about this vacuum as it picks up dirt and dust off the ground unlike any other vacuum I've ever had.

Not for use with carpeted floors in my opinion. Great solution for other surfaces however. Nice size and weight device. I LOVE this Dyson DC 26! I use it for my wood, tile and carpeted home and don't have any complaints. The vacuum is light and easy to move. Works great, good suction even after years of use. Hairs stuck all the time. It is pretty annoying I didn't like it right away. It blows hot air on you, the canister doesn't track right behind you, the suction was 'meh', and the head has a mind of its own.
