Fish tank maintenance is an easy task when owners use a siphon to clean the gravel and replace up to 25 percent of the water each week. When purchasing an aquarium siphon, owners should consider the size of the aquarium and the type of siphon needed for cleaning it. Aquarium siphons manufactured specifically to siphon debris from the tank and remove a portion of the water allow owners to clean the gravel without removing the plants and fish.
